About

Join us on Zoom to hear all about how you can get involved with the UK-wide coastal arts festival, Beach of Dreams’ Dawn Chorus celebration

Beach of Dreams is a UK-wide coastal arts festival, culminating with a month of events activating our coastlines across May.

Our interdisciplinary creative programme will see ambitious new participatory art commissions, creative walks and events taking place across the coasts of England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales, and digitally, from 1 May – 1 June 2025, as we explore the UK’s coastlines and reimagine our climate futures.

To mark the beginning of the festival, we’re inviting choirs, bird watchers and nature lovers to join us on beaches across our coastline for International Dawn Chorus Day on Sunday 4th May, celebrating the beauty of birdsong and the arrival of lighter, brighter days.

This national roundtable will be a virtual gathering to share ideas of how organisations can experience the Dawn Chorus in their community. Perhaps you’d like to gather your choir on the beach for sunrise, join other birdwatchers for dawn, or organise a guided beach walk to listen to your area's unique nature soundscape.

In this roundtable, Ali Pretty, Artistic Director of Beach of Dreams will update you on the ways in which you can get involved!

Beach of Dreams is open to all, and it is free to list your event on our digital platform, where we can feature your organisation and amplify your activity as part of the festival.

Let's come together to imagine and create sustainable futures for our coastlines.
