About
Join us for the final day of the Beach of Dreams journey along the Fife Coastal Path towards St Andrews. On this stage we will walk 8 miles, starting from Cambo Sands (Kingsbarns beach).
The route hugs the coastal slopes between rocky shore and farmland from Cambo Sands to Boarhills.
From Boarhills to St Andrews may be the roughest of the whole route and will be walked at low tide. Buddo Rock is a prominent geological feature, an impressive stack of pink sandstone. Further along the same section, you will find the Rock and Spindle, the weathered remains of a volcanic plug.
From there, the path leaves the beach and climbs a flight of steps to Kinkell Ness and descends to the final destination, St Andrews! Here we will meet with those journeying along the Fife Coastal Path from the Newburgh direction. The town itself has many historic and tourist attractions, not least the Old Course, St Andrews Castle and the beautiful beaches, East Sands, Castle Sands and West Sands.
