About
How has Thurrock’s unique spot on the Thames shaped its mighty impact?
Following the VE80 service held at the War Memorial, join us for a creative journey through Grays Town Centre and the riverside, making stops along the way to explore the WW2 history and local stories linked to VE Day.
Led by young artists from East Tilbury Primary School, we’ll explore the town centre and the riverside. In partnership with Thurrock Museum, Thurrock Council, and artist Triggerbliss.

This event is part of T100's Our River – a free festival inviting you to explore Thurrock and beyond, connecting with the Thames through exploration, conversation, and creativity.

Access & Accessibility
The walk is accessible for wheelchairs or large pushchairs, mainly traversing pavements and made paths, with some brief inclines onto the sea wall. T100 walks are of different lengths and on varying terrain. Some are mainly on footpaths, and others mainly on footpaths where ground may be uneven. We have designed our programme with accessibility in mind so we hope that there is something for everyone to enjoy. If you would like to discuss this please contact hello@t100festival.co.uk
