About
This special evening event invites you to a Circle Conversation exploring the deep connections between art, place, and the coastal environment. Held at New Gilston and Woodside Hall, the evening will feature engaging speakers, including Julie Brook (commissioned artist for Beach of Dreams Fife), Jeremy Harris (Fife Coast & Countryside Trust), Rory MacPhee (boatbuilder, Of Lindor Forest), and Cally Nurse (artist and researcher).
As part of the evening, we’ll delve into Tide Line, Julie Brook’s powerful Beach of Dreams commission. This work traces our relationship with the coast through movement, memory, and mark-making. Together, we’ll explore how creativity shapes our understanding of the places we live and love. You’re encouraged to bring along a personal object that represents your connection to place – helping to spark meaningful, collective discussion. Refreshments will be available (donations welcomed), and all are welcome.
Wed 30 April, 8—10pm
